My kids love to come to the dentist here! They are so kind to the kids and gentle. The whole office from the lobby, to brushing and xrays they make it extra fun and special for all ages! My son left yesterday saying how fun it was there and couldn’t wait to go to school and tell his teacher and friends about his visit. Thank you for always checking on our kiddos teeth and making sure they want to keep up with the dentist with all the take home goodies!
My kids have been coming to Healthy Smiles for almost 14 years. Dr. Davis is great and so is the staff. Especially Sarai! Excellent patient care. Thank you!
The friendly staff made me and my children feel welcomed from the moment we walked in the office. The dentist, Dr. Davis was kind, patient, and an expertise in her field. The staff was equally amazing—helpful, attentive, and professional. They made what can be a dreadful and stressful experience feel easy and comfortable. Highly recommend!
Dr. Davis and her entire team of dental professionals give us a WOW experience each visit since pandemic when we began as new patients with them. Their office staff keep schools calendar handy, provide flexible appointments and only suggest science backed prevention and remedial dental treatments. Check out their patients sketched art gallery and game room. Floss the tooth you want to save.
I did my research in the area when my daughter came of age to see a dentist and landed on Healthy Smiles. 5 years later and I am still SO happy with my decision! This is the only dentist my daughters have ever been to because we are so happy with this practice. The dentist can be scary, but Healthy Smiles does what they can to make it less so for my girls. There is a welcoming, fun lobby. Kind employees. A TV screen to watch over the procedure chair. They say everything they are doing out loud to keep your kiddos informed. And a couple of fun little prizes for the brave patient when it is done. I 100% recommend this dentist for your kids.

frisco tx special needs dentistryWe provide dental care for kids of all ages in our community, so they can enjoy optimal oral health and learn to better care for their smiles. But we also provide the same level of care for kids who have special needs! Everyone deserves a healthy and strong smile, and your Frisco, TX, children’s dental practice wants to help.

The Unique Dental Care Needs

We know that children with special needs need patient and compassionate care, with treatment tailored to them specifically. We strive to offer this level of care for each and every patient we see with special needs. Often, these children have specific dental needs. For example, kids with ADHD may be more likely to grind their teeth and bite their nails, which can wear down and damage teeth. They also may chew on items like pencils and pens. For many children, medications meant to help with their behavior could cause dry mouth, which itself increases the risk of cavities and gingivitis.

Helping Your Child Feel At Ease

Whether they need a simple checkup or a dental restoration, we want to ensure your little ones feel at ease and enjoy a positive experience in our office. Before you arrive, make sure we know about what medications your kids are taking and talk to us about the best ways to interact with your child. We will do our best to personalize the visit for their comfort. You can also show them child-friendly videos about the dentist so they know what to expect.

When to See Our Team

Kids need to see the dentist every six months, so a visit for a checkup and cleaning is recommended at least twice a year. If your child grinds his or her teeth or has a toothache, then let us know. Our team can conduct a gentle checkup and cleaning to diagnose their smile, and we can even offer fluoride treatments and dental sealants to help lower the risk of tooth decay. Fluoride is applied during the exam and strengthens the outer enamel to fight cavities. With dental sealants, we apply a thin acrylic coating to the rear teeth kids have trouble reaching when they brush and floss. These can stay in place for up to ten years and limit the risk of cavities.

If you have any questions about our approach to dental care for kids of all ages, then contact our team today. We want to help them start a new year with a healthy and bright smile, and that starts with a checkup!
